MAKING A DIFFERENCE
This year, the Swing 4 Warriors Golf Tournament is about helping veterans and active military duty families with food insecurities feed their families. Food insecurity is the term for going hungry or lacking sufficient food for health and wellness. With the partnership of Us 4 Warriors, a San Diego 501 (c)(3) our goal is to raise money to feed starving military families through our food programs. Join us on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Admiral Baker Golf Course as we golf for our military men and women whom have sacrificed their lives or our country.
By far, our annual golf tournament is the largest fundraiser we’ve had to date. Last year, the Swing 4Scholarships
Golf Tournament raised over $7,000 to help under privelege kids in dangerous neighborhoods go to college through the help of Reality Changers, a local non-profit in San Diego. The Golf Tournament is one of the funnest days of the
entire year for us!
FOOD4WARRIORS PROGRAM
The Food4Warriors Program bundles several ongoing projects to serve all those in need within the military and veteran communities of San Diego County. From hosting food distributions to targeted deliveries and special events. Us4Warriors provides emergency food and basic needs assistance for eligible active duty, active duty dependents, veterans and their immediate families.
Our aim is to be champions for hunger relief in our veteran’s community to fight food insecurities and uplift families so that no one goes hungry, everyone gets what they need to focus on the other elements of their struggle so they can become self-reliant. This is even more important in support of the hundreds of children of military and veterans that we support.
As long as there is a need and funding prevails, we aim to fill in the gaps and help these warriors and their families live stronger lives
